Roberta Skoko, Featured Writer: I had my reversion to faith at the age of 20 and spent the next four years studying the history of Christianity, falling more deeply in love with Jesus and His Catholic Church. I graduated with my Bachelor of Education in 2012 but God called me into youth ministry instead. I had resisted the idea for months, but as per usual, God won! Five years into ministry I was offered a job at a parish in another city and within one month uprooted my whole life. Within two weeks of that I met my bold and faithful husband. During our first conversation I blurted out, “I can’t believe you exist!” We were married 10 months later. We have now been married for three years, blessed with our 10-month-old son who is the brightest light in our lives, and always open to whatever God wills.
